Photographing people is always interesting as each person has an individuality with which the photographer has to interact to achieve the expression or pose required. In addition to one's attention to the lighting, background etc. it is necessary to direct the subject, or sometimes, with the first-time novice, divert them into forgetting the camera is there. Then there is the choice of capturing a person's individuality in a portrait, or capturing a particular mood or expression, or experimenting with shape and form.
